•Named MISCA Division 3 and Monroe County Swimmer of the Year after winning the 200 free, 500 free and anchoring the first place 800 free relay team at the state meet. Won 500 by more than 13 seconds.
•Earned All-American status in both the 200 free (ranked #91 nationally) and 500 free (#122).
•Qualified for state meet in every event for third straight year.
•Broke school’s 200 and 500 free varsity record. Currently ranked in school’s top 20 for every event.

Freshman Season
•Placed 4th in 200 free (1:53.89), 4th in 100 free (52.85), 9th in 200 free relay (24.11 split), 4th in 400 free relay (52.23 split) at state meet.
•Swam on teams that set school 200 free and 400 free relay records.
• Winner of three All-State Awards. four All-League Awards.

... Maura is poised to become the fourth member of her immediate family to swim collegiately, following in the footsteps of sisters Katie (St. Bonaventure) and Meghan (University of Indianapolis), brother Jim (Grand Valley State) and mother Sally (Michigan).
…Maura’s maternal grandfather Harlan Benjamin played football and ran track at Michigan State.
...Dexter graduate Adrienne Woods, currently at the University of Texas, remains the only swimmer ever to beat Maura in a dual meet event.
